• Served as a senior civil servant and Dean of Medicine at a leading South African medical school.
• Provided technical expertise to global organisations including the World Health Organisation (WHO), World Bank, International Labour Organisation (ILO), International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and others.
• Strong expertise in Health Systems, Occupational & Environmental Health, HIV & AIDS, TB, cancer surveillance, and climate change and health.

• Coordinated the COVID-19 workplace response and worker vaccination programmes in South Africa.
• Participated in global forums including WHO workshops and COP28 (UAE), presenting on climate change and worker health.
• Co-Chair of the TB Think Tank – Mines Working Group.
• Provides Occupational Health & Safety support to the G20 Health Working Group.
